Tesla Is Discontinuing the Cheapest Model S This Weekend

Tesla's cheapest Model S option, the Model S 75 with rear-wheel drive, will be discontinued after September 24. The official discontinuation comes to make way for Tesla's 75D, 100D, and P100D vehicles, all dual-motor, all-wheel-drive sedans.

This has been in the works since July with the Model 3 currently underway to replace the option as Tesla's cheapest vehicle. Tesla is currently only producing Model 3 vehicles with rear-wheel drive and won't release the all-wheel-drive, dual-motor cars until later. Last year, Tesla discontinued the mid-range 85-kWh Model X and rear-wheel drive 90-kWh Model S.

PLEASURES’s Fall/Winter 2017 Editorial Is an Explosion of Hardcore Punk Graphics

HBX's latest editorial highlights LA-based streetwear label PLEASURES's Fall/Winter 2017 collection. Tapping creative director Alex James's affiliation with '80s and '90s hardcore punk, PLEASURES's latest range – appropriately dubbed "From the Cradle to the Grave" – is an onslaught of graphic T-shirts, long-sleeves, hoodies and baseball caps.

Sift through the editorial above then scroll down for some highlights from HBX's recent interview with Alex.

When you were growing up you were put into the hardcore punk scene, taking influences from film, music and so on. The collection this time around seems to be coming from a spiritual place. What inspired this collection, and what inspires you most of the time?

This collection is more about the circle of life. The progression from birth to after death and everything in-between.

The sunflower seems to be a recurring graphic throughout the collections. Is there a backstory that you could shed some light on for this?

Sunflowers symbolize joy and happiness. The world is in peril right now; we are trying to create graphics with some positivity.

What does the future hold for PLEASURES?

We are presenting a special collection along with a visual presentation at Innersect show in Shanghai. Shouts to Edison Chen for the support!! We are also launching “ PLEASURES Audio”, a new platform where we work with artists to present their passion music projects. There’s a ton of other things as well but I can’t really discuss. Stay tuned.

You can shop the entire collection over at HBX, priced from $34 USD - $89 USD.

The good folks at Pyramid Country have teamed up with Vans for a limited edition footwear offering that centers upon the tried-and-true Half Cab Pro silhouette. From the surface, the skateboard collective’s distinct take on the mid-top sneaker seems like a general release iteration you’ve seen in the past. However, you’d want to kill those kinds of presumptions immediately, especially since these babies are fitted with glow-in-the-dark, green soles.

The model itself is elegantly draped in a premium suede, mesh, and leather fabric construction. Not to mention, space-inspired insoles are also purveyed in each shoe. Check out the Pyramid Country x Vans Half Cab Pro above and expect an official release at Vans stockists this September 23.

Big Baller Brand Reveals Remixed Design of Lonzo Ball’s ZO2 Prime Sneaker

New sneaker, same price. Big Baller Brand returns and recently went back to the drawing board with Lonzo Ball's first signature sneaker. Originally revealed back in May, the LA Lakers rookie received a lot of love and a lot of hate upon debuting his ZO2 sneaker. Said to be the "lightest basketball shoe ever made," the Remixed ZO2 sneaker follows the reveal of LaMelo Ball's signature in the Melo Ball 1.

The ZO2 Prime Remix incorporates carbon fiber along its heel cap in addition to an upper that hosts a combination of three textures of monofilament rip-stop mesh, semi-sock construction fabric and 3D printing. For its cushioning, you'll find what Big Baller Brand claims to be the "newest revolutionary foam" that provides "40% more rebound that standard EVA" foam.

Interestingly enough, those who preordered the original ZO2 model will be sent these in replacement. Still retailing for $495 USD, new orders of the ZO2 Prime Remix will ship on January 30, 2018 while old orders placed will still be honored with a November 24 shipping date. You can pre-order your ZO2 Prime Remix via Big Ball Brand's official website. Check out the video reveal above and let us know your thoughts.

Maggie Rogers Drops New Single “Split Stones”

After making Pharrell Williams cry when he heard her track at NYU, it wasn't long before Maggie Rogers's "Alaska" took off. Her unique blend of folk and electronic paired with ethereal vocals would eventually land her a major deal with Capitol Records in 2016.

Today, after touring the world in support of her Now That The Light Is Fading EP, the singer/songwriter has partnered up with The North Face to release her new single “Split Stones.”

I took the first sound samples for ‘Split Stones’ on a month-long backpacking trip in Oregon during the summer of 2013; I’ve been collecting samples and piecing the song together in bedroom studios and trails ever since. I’m super excited about combining the two things I love-technology and the environment-to create a way that people can hear the song, but also feel a little bit a part of the action and process that inspired it.

Listen to it below.
