Oneohtrix Point Never Delivers a Remix of Ryuichi Sakamoto’s “Andata”

No stranger to complex sonic endeavours -- having worked in film scores, art installations and mind-crunching albums of his own work (as well as being an active part of ANOHNI) -- Daniel Lopatin, aka Oneohtrix Point Never, has risen to the challenge of remixing one of the world's most renowned contemporary composers. Part of a forthcoming companion album to Ryuichi Sakamoto's async, OPN takes "andata" -- the maestro's original, notably sombre piano track -- on a sci-fi-esque trip in to synthy new territory.

The album of parallel reworks, which also features contributions from Arca, Electric Youth and Jóhann Jóhannsson, is due to drop in the fall.

Nike Will Be Restocking The “Pure Platinum” Vapormax in Europe Next Month

Nike's VaporMax model has consistently proved itself to be one of the brand's most popular new shoes in some time -- and now it will be bringing one of the silhouette's original colorways back to stores in Europe. The "Pure Platinum" palette might be slightly too young to be called an OG, but it was certainly a fan favorite amongst those who were into the shoe back when it was first released -- a fact that clearly wasn't lost on Nike, as it moves to reintroduce the shoe to European shores next month.

There's no word on whether the restock will be larger than it has been in the past, but you'll want keep an eye out as the Nike Vapormax "Pure Platinum" is set to drop in European Nike retailers on August 23. In other VaporMax news, we recently got our first on-feet look at the upcoming Off-White™ x Nike Air VaporMax.

James Franco’s “Philosophy Time” Show is Here To Explain the Complexities of Life

What do you get the man who has -- or at least the man whose tried his hand at -- everything? In actor, artist, writer, musician and director James Franco's case, at least, you get them a run of short YouTube films in which they can discuss complexities of the human condition. Hosted by Franco and Eliot Michaelson -- Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at King’s College London -- and featuring various guest philosophers, Philosophy Time manages to cover everything from the nature of metaphor to the intricacies of how we define beauty. And, reassuringly -- while Michaelson expresses his reservations with an “Oh God, how did I let James talk me into this?” --  according to Franco, it's also "definitely not an elaborate joke.” Watch the first episode of Philosophy Time -- the aptly titled "Philosophy 101" -- in the video above, then head on over to the show's YouTube channel to take in some knowledge from an undisputed expert. And a professor at King's College.

Last week also saw the release of the first teaser for Franco and Seth Rogen's The Disaster Artist, set to release in December 2017, chronicling the life of filmmaker Tommy Wiseau and the making of his objectively terrible movie, The Room.

Bentley Presents the Continental GT Galene Edition, a Yacht-Themed Convertible

Bentley's bespoke Mulliner division has teamed up with Britain-based Princess Yachts to create the Bentley Continental GT Galene Edition. Inside the cabin, seating surfaces are covered in light-colored white and taupe, contrasted with caramel stitching and a bluish-gray dash. The steering wheel with paddle-shift gear selects invites an assured grip with increased storage -- meaning you can bring more things with you on your journey. An eyeglasses case is embedded into the center tunnel that is lined with "Brunel"-colored ersatz-suede microfiber which matches the passenger-side dashboard. A hand-painted yacht illustration by Spanish artist Jaume Vilardell is placed on the fascia that reminds one of the nautical vibe.

To resemble the grandness of a yacht, Mulliner division has created a special open-pore wood for the Galene, a new pinstripe walnut trim that evokes a deck-design found on a yacht. The wood can also be seen lining the door sills and the entire floor of the trunk. On the glacier white exterior that is offset by a dash of blue trim and a dark blue convertible top, the model's iconic grille has changed from gloss black to bright chrome. Instead of the massive 6.0-liter W-12 stablemates used in typical Continental GT Convertibles, the Galene is powered by the Audi-sourced 4.0 twin-turbo V-8.

Limited to just 30 worldwide, check out a detailed look of the Galene and head over to Bentley's website to inquire about purchase.
