Nike Air Max 97 Ultra Premium Surfaces in Olive

Nike's Air Max 97 Ultra Premium is back to complement the previously shared all-black iteration. The sleek silhouette is treated in an olive coloring that's presented on its upper while the outsole is done in black. Its midsole welcomes white while its full-length visible Air Max unit sees black. The traditional piping found on the original Air Max 97 is swapped out for uniformed lining circling its upper. Nike branding returns to familiar areas such as each lateral and medial side, tongues and heels.

There's currently no official word as to when these will hit retailers, but stay tuned for further information. While olive is the trending shade of the season, how do these compare to the standard AM97 in Country Camo?

Kuro Reinvents the Canadian Tuxedo for Spring/Summer 2018

Tokyo denim imprint Kuro is back with a new array of Spring/Summer goods. Bolstering tapered trousers with simple layering, the Japanese brand continues juxtaposing contemporary styling with denim.

Kuro offers an array of high-waisted, pleated pants and oversized jackets in lightweight, washed denim, granting a rugged edge to the understated items. The cuts recall European tailoring, with trim crops and clean lines, but the fabric is quintessential Japan. Boxy tees and relaxed chore coats shift proportions and the label's signature loosely-threaded tag adds visual interest to outerwear.

BMW Introduces the Drop Top i8 Roadster

BMW has introduced the newest additions in its line of flagship hybrid sports cars, an upgraded version of the i8 coupe and now the i8 Roadster. Added to both vehicle's current parameters are a slightly improved 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine, bumped up electric motor, and higher capacity battery.

The roadster can hit 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and the coupe 4.2 seconds, each will also travel on electric power alone at speeds of up to 65 mph (instead of just 43 mph) – or 75 mph in eDrive mode.  Highlighted however is the addition of a folding soft-top for the Roadster, which voids the rear seats to allow the raising roof to operate in 15 seconds at speeds up to 31 mph. The top also folds into a small Z-shaped vertical stack. Both versions are set to arrive in US showrooms next spring, with pricing to be revealed.

Once Again, Google Is Voted the Best Place to Work

Using transparency site Comparably, Business Insider sourced employee ratings to create its list of the top 50 companies to work for. In an anticlimactic twist, Google was voted the best company in terms of company culture, and also made the tops of similar lists.

The list was compiled from anonymous employee ratings sourced from January 1 to November 17, 2017. No incentives were given to submit a report, and the list only included businesses that employ over 500 employees. Google's diversity, overall employee happiness, compensation and leadership is second to none -- with nearly 16,000 rankings. It took the top spot from the second-highest rated company, Hubspot, which boasts about 6,400 rankings. Other notable companies on the list include Facebook (#3), Netflix (#9), Amazon (#11) and Apple (#18).

2017 was a very positive year for Google, which saw it surpass peers like Twitter and Apple in consumer trust. Meanwhile the tech giant continues improving products ranging from its emojis to driverless cars.

Warner Bros. & Intel Want You Watching Movies in Your Autonomous Car

Warner Bros. and Intel are entering a joint partnership to inject some fun into to the latter's autonomous car computing platform.

Announced at the LA Auto Show, Warner Bros and Intel's plans revolve around providing entertainment to passengers in self-driving cars; specifically, that means those in the aforementioned vehicles could be able to watch films, play video games and check up on their favorite TV series as they navigate the streets. Outside of normal visual applications, Intel is also looking into the possibility of "augmented reality" programs for passengers. While this joint effort is the first of its kind, other tech juggernauts like Apple are also working on their own ideas for self-driving vehicles.

While we're still a few years away from self-driving cars in the public service realm, Intel's focus on delivering 5G data connections should ensure plenty of potential in the future. As recent deals from companies like Uber and Volvo have shown, a promising market is forming.
