Learn How To Make Traditional Whole Wheat Udon With A Michelin-Starred Chef

For Eater's latest installment of The Meat Show, host Nick Solares invited Michelin-starred chef Cris Jaeckle to help him prepare traditional whole wheat udon. Jaeckle has profound knowledge in making pasta at All'Onda and conjuring Japanese recipes at Uma Temakeria in New York City.  The duo traveled to the city of Takamatsu in Japan to get a lesson from an instructor at Sanuki Menyo — touted as "a facility in the 'udon capital' of Japan where employees have been hand-crafting noodles for over 90 years," the website reports. The informative five-minute clip shows the pair taking on the quintessential Japanese cuisine from start to finish.

Freddie Gibbs Has Been Acquitted of Sexual Assault Charges

After being accused of drugging and sexually abusing a woman in Austria during a tour stop back in August, rapper Freddie Gibbs was acquitted of all charges today and is now officially a free man. Gibbs' manager made the announcement via Instagram earlier today while his lawyer made a statement via FADER:

Today, September 30, 2016 Freddie Gibbs was found not guilty. We have always maintained unconditionally and without any doubt that Freddie would be and now has been fully exonerated and completely vindicated. We are pleased and thankful that the court recognized the same trust and confidence we and all of his fans have had in Freddie that justified and resulted in his absolute acquittal. Immediately after his acquittal I spoke with Freddie who expressed his deeply sincere, heartfelt gratitude and thanks to his fiancé Erica Dickerson for her unwavering support, for the steadfast and incomparable loyalty of his long time friend and manager Ben “Lambo” Lambert, for the extraordinary work and effort of his lawyers and for the overwhelming outpouring of love he has received from his fans. He says, “Thank you!”

While we are appreciative of the verdict of not guilty, nothing has changed. The actual facts have always demonstrated that Freddie was and is 100% innocent. It is now self-evident he was wrongly accused. The trial has confirmed our belief that after a searching and complete investigation and trial the true and actual facts would be revealed – that there always was an absence of any scientific, physical, or credible evidence that would warrant in any way such an accusation. Freddie and his family look forward to returning to the States so he can resume his life and career.”

The Boston Red Sox Mow David Ortiz’s Image Into Fenway Park Grass to Honor One of Its Greats

Boston Red Sox player David Ortiz is set to retire after this season, so it won't be a big surprise to see all the tributes and dedications rolling out. Just last night, rival team, New York Yankees honored the DH/first baseman with a pre-game ceremony where he was given a leather-bound book of farewells and a painting. The Bombers even played the popular Boston team song, "Sweet Caroline" over the PA just for him.

However, it's the Boston Red Sox's tribute that takes the cake. To honor one of its greatest baseball players in team history, the Red Sox mowed the image of 'Big Papi' doing his signature point to the sky move into Fenway Park's outfield. A better view of the design can be seen from the sky. All in all, David Ortiz will surely be missed in the game of baseball, not just by Sox fans, but by those who keep a close eye to the sport.

Stream Bon Iver’s ’22, A Million’

Justin Vernon's Bon Iver has finally dropped the followup to 2011's celebrated Bon Iver, Bon Iver after debuting the LP live in its entirety back in August. Featuring the likes of "33 GOD" and "8 (circle)," the uniquely atmospheric project includes ten tracks in all and comes hot on the heels of this summer's "Friends" collab with Kanye West and Francis and the Lights. According to the LP's press release:

22, A Million is part love letter, part final resting place of two decades of searching for self-understanding like a religion. And the inner-resolution of maybe never finding that understanding. The album’s 10 poly-fi recordings are a collection of sacred moments, love’s torment and salvation, contexts of intense memories, signs that you can pin meaning onto or disregard as coincidence. If Bon Iver, Bon Iver built a habitat rooted in physical spaces, then 22, A Million is the letting go of that attachment to a place.
