Both Lakai and Emerica represent some of the last core institutions we have left of skateboarding's golden generation. Perhaps recognizing this, the two – although ostensibly competitive and difference – forged an alliance this summer to take an extensive tour of the U.S. skate scene. It's worth noting that this kind of tour is radically progressive; a collaboration between two, say, streetwear apparel companies seems like a taboo conflict of interest. Alas, that's what immediately cements the "Stay Flared" tour in the "legendary" ranks. That aside from the roster, which includes the likes of Heath Kirchart, Mike Carroll, Rick Howard, Brandon Biebel, Jerry Hsu, Andrew Reynolds and a legion of other greats. Check out this first installment of the tour footage courtesy of Thrasher Magazine, and stay tuned for more updates throughout the week.
