Zaha Hadid to Build Danjiang Bridge in Taiwan

Renowned architect Zaha Hadid has already been tasked with executing some of the great cultural institutions around the world, including Qatar's Olympic stadium for the 2022 games, the London Aquatics center and the Guangzhou Opera House. Here, the legendary designer exports her talents to Taiwan, where she has just unveiled the intended design for the new Danjiang Bridge in Taiwan, which will help to connect both sides of the Tamsui River. Spanning over 920 meters, the build is supported on both sides by a singular concrete mast. To help with its mission of alleviating traffic between the two main highways in Taipei, the system will also connect the smaller neighboring town of Bali to Taipei's light rail system. An exciting progression for the greater Taipei area, check out the bridge above.
