Vintage cars are sure to turn heads around wherever they are and this 1965 Shelby 289 Cobra Alloy is certainly no exception. Outfitted with a polished aluminum body, the car was originally purchased by the legendary automotive designer and racing driver Carroll Shelby himself to add to his collection of cars. The car is in pristine condition and only has 56 original miles on the odometer as it has been garage kept and preserved in almost new condition. Outfitted with an upgraded 427 cubic-inch V-8 engine that can pump out 525 horsepower, the 1965 Shelby 289 Cobra Alloy will be auctioned off on November 15. Check out the pictures of this special vehicle above.
"Did he already go on his S.O.T.Y. trip?" "But will he get the most views on Thrasher's YouTube?" The rumor mill is again furiously churning on this year's "Skater of The Year" award and Cory Kennedy's name is a supposed frontrunner in the race. In between travels filming for Nike SB's forthcoming third video, the Washington-based shredder traveled back home for two weeks. Within that time, the skate savant was able to produce a full part, which was courteously, nay, conveniently delivered to Thrasher Magazine's San Francisco doorstep. "Cory Goes BellingHAM" finds Kennedy turning up on everything from head-high transitions (now a staple in his repertoire) to Northwest minutia like fragmented rocks. Kickstart your weekend with the part above, and look for an even less casual showing when Nike drops Chronicles Vol. 3 next year.
With a population just under 330,000 people, Leicester (the 'eic' is silent) is one of the smaller cities in England. Not unlike other places of its size, the city often overlooked when it comes to cultural contribution. Thankfully though, the Internet has eased the situation – especially in the realm of skateboarding. Here we find UK-based Sidewalk Magazine hoofing from its cushy London offices to the East Midlands to speak with one Callun Loomes – a founding member and chief videographer of fun-loving GET LESTA crew. As the name implies, GET LESTA has made a name for itself by ushering its homegrown grit to the skateboarding world, adding members to its crew along the way. A shining example of how small communities can make an impact on its respective scene, enjoy the inaugural episode of Sidewalk's "The Unsung" above.
According to various German media outlets, the legendary Nürburgring racetrack has been purchased by Russian billionaire Viktor Kharitonin. Although the Formula 1 track was originally acquired by Capricorn Group and Getspeed for €77 million earlier in the year, the former has been facing major financial issues and was forced to sell the famous circuit. A new owner coming in and taking the reigns may actually be good news because it could have been forced to shut down due to the financial instability of the previous owners. The 2015 German Grand Prix is yet to be assigned to a track so keep a look out for the Nürburgring to host it.

Revealed on the Far Eastern airwaves just earlier, it seems as if Poler Stuff is set to resume its relationship with Nike SB ahead of the winter season. The quirky camping company will this time take to the Dunk High OMS silhouette for Winter 2014, re-interpreting the longstanding street classic in a fall-appropriate colorway. Our first look at the hybrid silhouette finds the sneaker done up with rust brown suede at the upper, outfitted with rugged plated hardware at the laceloops for easy strapping. These features rest atop a rubber gum outsole, detailed with black at the toe bump and heel cup. A black Swoosh completes this offering from Poler and Nike SB, which should be available at select retailers beginning November 1.
Nike has quickly cooked up a premium rendition of the Dunk silhouette for the season, here offering a slithering-ly smooth iteration dubbed "Snakeskin." Here we find a Dunk CMFT PRM beginning with a cracked leather base, interrupted by beige and black python-style leather around the toecap, laceloops, and rear. These daring aesthetics are juxtaposed by a classic white midsole, and creatively paired with a detailed gum outsole. A plush mustard-toned leather tongue and a silver Swoosh complete this offering from Nike, dropping at retailers like Kinetics on November 8.
Modeled after the Nike Kobe 9 Elite is a new high-top edition of the Black Mamba's off-court Kobe IX EXT: a Quickstrike "Snakeskin" take on the silhouette. Eschewing the Elite's Flyknit construction in favor of premium leather and faux snakeskin, the special release sees a predominately beige upper coupled with a gum rubber outsole, metallic silver hits to the heel counter, and black accents throughout. Capping off the design are waxed cotton rope laces and Dynamic Flywire support. A Holiday 2014 release from Nike Sportswear, the Kobe 9 High EXT QS "Snakeskin" is due to be available via Kinetics this Saturday, November 1 before making its way to additional NSW spots in the weeks ahead.
