Jasper Wong – The Simple Beauty of Just Coloring

Born in Hawaii, Jasper Wong was exposed to a beautiful natural landscape growing up, yet left to pursue his passions in illustrations, drawing, and art when given the first opportunity. After a 10-year absence, Wong returned to Hawaii to contribute to the burgeoning art scene, which it seems, had also grown while he was away. Amongst the many projects (POW WOW being among the largest) he has contributed to his home state, Wong initiated "The Little Shop of Wonder," which rather magically transformed a storefront into an oversized coloring book. In the latest video piece from The Avant/Garde Diaries, the online magazine briefly interviews Wong about the simple joys of analog techniques, and what has inspired him over the years. With a relationship that precedes stardom, the two played it cool while discussing Lockhart's organic approach to photography, how it influenced the setting, and collaborating with Josh Terris. Gorey & PAL Crew “PALINGENESIS” @ Klughaus Preview | Video

In conjunction with LRG and Brisk, France's PAL Crew is set to host an exhibition – "PALINGENESIS" – at Klughaus in New York. The crew, which contains members such as Cony, Tomek, and Horfe, will come together for the event, which runs from May 11 through May 19. A New York-based member of the infamous crew, Gorey, has already begun to make his imprint on the space, as shown in the above video preview. Here we find the artist sketching out an intricate, imaginative house island mural. Backstage at Dior Homme’s First Ever Show in Beijing for Fall/Winter 2013

In case you were unable to attend Dior Homme's first runway show in Beijing, the brand has released a special video recap of the event. The show presented the Fall/Winter 2013 collection through more than forty pairings, with each model playing a part of a coordinated color spectrum. Under the leadership of creative director Kris Van Assche, Dior successfully conveyed its sleek, confident collection to an eagerly anticipating audience. Three new tuxedos were specially made for the event, ushering in a new chapter of fashion at the Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in the capital city. Live from adidas Originals’ 2013 summer collection, the longtime shoemaker has set forth to revamp its mainstay Samba silhouette to pair nicely with a warm-weather wardrobe. The indoor football-inspired sneaker is set to be available in two base colors – blue and black – both of which feature neon green or yellow accents, respectively, at the heel and via the brand’s ubiquitous three stripes. Both colorways are now available online for €80 EUR (approximately $105 USD) each.

These artists were commissioned to produce interpretations of BAPE's iconic Ape Head logo on a T-shirt and accompanying canvas - rarities which were made publicly available for purchase for a limited time during the exhibition.
